Air uses volumetric factor 4.5 — a 13 dm³ box is treated as ~3 kg even if it’s lighter. Sea uses 1:1 weight↔dm³, whichever is greater. Both include Norwegian VAT and door delivery.

Why we’re often cheaper than the store’s own shipping. US retailers ship single packages internationally at retail rates (often 400–800 NOK per parcel). NorShip combines multiple US deliveries into one international shipment, so you pay the international leg once and split it across what fits in the box.
